Terms of service

Who we are

Majken is run by Amöba AB, org.nr 556853-4910, Folkskolegatan 5, 117 35 Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: hello@majken.ai.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Majken you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Majken for a company, you confirm that you can bind it to these terms.

2. The service

Majken is a 25-minute code review test for hiring developers. An employer sends a test by email. The candidate reviews a pull request written by an AI coding agent against a spec, in the browser, and may use AI tools. An AI grader grades the review against a list of planted problems, and the employer gets a plain-English report.

Majken also offers a public code review challenge that needs no account, and a secondary tool that builds a report from a developer's public GitHub profile. The reports are an aid for a person. They are not a hiring decision.

3. Accounts

You need an account to send tests or buy credits. Give a correct email, keep your password and login private, and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. Contact us to close your account.

4. Pricing and billing

  • Your first graded test is free.
  • After that a graded test costs €19 as a single credit, or €129 for a pack of 10. Credits never expire.
  • The Team subscription is €99 a month and covers up to 30 graded tests a calendar month. It renews monthly and you can cancel at any time in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.
  • A test is charged when its result is graded: with a subscription test first, then the free test, then a credit. Tests that are sent but not taken, expire or are never graded cost nothing. If you have nothing to charge when a test is graded, the result stays locked until you buy credits or subscribe.
  • One credit also pays for one full GitHub report.
  • Prices are in euro. Payments are handled by Stripe. Refunds are handled case by case. Write to hello@majken.ai.

5. Using Majken with candidates

If you send a test, you are the controller of your candidates' personal data and we process it for you, as described in our privacy policy. You agree to:

  • Have a lawful basis for testing the candidate and for giving us their name and email.
  • Tell the candidate that you use Majken, what the test is and that an AI grader helps grade it.
  • Use the report as one input to a decision that a person makes. Do not use a result as the only basis for rejecting or hiring someone.
  • Treat the result and the candidate's review as confidential, and use them only for the hiring decision.
  • Deal with requests from candidates about their data. We help where we can.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Scrape or bulk-download tasks, answer keys, results or reports.
  • Share a test link with someone other than the intended candidate, or help a candidate complete a test.
  • Misrepresent a result to a candidate.
  • Interfere with the service, bypass its limits or attempt to access other people's data.

Candidates agree to do the review themselves. AI tools are allowed. Another person's help is not.

7. No guarantees about hiring

The grade is produced by an AI grader against a fixed answer key. It can be wrong, and a review can miss or flag things the answer key does not cover. A result shows how a candidate reviewed one task. It does not guarantee how they will perform in a job, and we do not guarantee that a hire will succeed. If you disagree with a grading, send a dispute from the result page. A person at Majken reviews it.

8. Availability and changes

We run the service as is. It may be unavailable at times, and we may change features, tasks and prices. A price change does not affect credits you have already bought. We may update these terms and show the new date at the top. If you keep using Majken after a change, you accept it.

9. Liability

We are not liable for indirect loss or loss of profit, or for hiring decisions made using the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

10. Governing law

Swedish law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Stockholm, Sweden. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights under mandatory law in your country.
